Jeanie and Brooke tied the knot at the beautiful Hickory Street Annex in Dallas, Texas with an incredibly meaningful Unitarian Universalist ceremony surround by their closest friends and family members.
This was my first time to get to work at this venue. I love the industrial style and the view of downtown Dallas. Plus, you can’t beat the many large windows that provide so much natural light! And it certainly doesn’t hurt that Hickory Street Annex is right next to Deep Ellum.
It was also the first Unitarian wedding I’ve ever photographed, and I’m familiar with this church because my partner, Nick, was raised in it.
On Wikipedia: “Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion characterized by a ‘free and responsible search for truth and meaning.’ Unitarian Universalists assert no creed, but instead are unified by their shared search for spiritual growth, guided by a dynamic, ‘living tradition.'”
Basically, UUs are my people, and it was an honor to photograph this day. Thank you Jeanie and Brooke for trusting me! I look forward to many other photo adventures with y’all in the future :)
