Valerie and Andrew’s courthouse wedding perfectly combined the intimacy of a small courthouse ceremony and a celebration with their wider circle of friends and family. They decided to be flexible in their planning, something I totally admire as we all navigate this time of uncertainty.
Valerie and Andrew are high school sweethearts. They’d lost touch but reconnected right before the pandemic. When lock-down orders started to hit, they said, “Okay, we’re doing this and moving in together!” Fortunately for them, it worked out, and they decided to get married!
The ceremony was just Valerie, Andrew, and their parents, but they saved their vows to read outside with the rest of their families. For the reception, guests “drove through” to congratulate the couple, watch the first dance, and hear toasts. It’s amazing how couples have found creative ways to celebrate and share their day with friends and family safely.
They ended the night at the iconic Joe T. Garcia’s, a perfect place to round out their Fort Worth wedding. Couples are all finding their own way through these confusing and crazy circumstances, and I’d love to work with you to capture your day!
