I love a courthouse wedding – and I always have, long before COVID made it almost necessary.
Choosing to get married at the courthouse is great for so many reasons.
— You can keep costs low, since you aren’t tempted to rent and decorate a room with Pinterest projects you’ll inevitably spend hundreds on (and likely only use once, if we’re being honest with ourselves).
— There is no pressure to be formal, so you can wear whatever you want! Whether you want to gussy up or dress it down a bit, no one will bat an eye. (To be fair, they shouldn’t anyway, and I highly encourage you to wear whatever you *damn well* please wherever you choose to get married.)
— Courthouse ceremonies are quick and simple, and leave you to spend the day however you want. You’re on a pretty strict timeframe, so you get in, say sweet things, and then get out into the world to celebrate!
I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph many courthouse weddings, so when clients ask for my recommendations as to which courthouse to go to, my favorite and the one I’ve had the most experience is at the Tarrant County Courthouse in Fort Worth.
If you’re planning a courthouse wedding in Dallas/Fort-Worth, let’s chat! I’d love to document the day for you.
Such an amazing and great wedding in the court. The couple is too cute and beautiful. May they live together long. The photographer did great work. As a wedding planner, I like it.
