Sarah and Nick, what can I say? They are two glass blowing artists completely meant for each other. (My) Nick and I ventured out to Abilene, TX last weekend to document their wedding day. They fully embraced the Christmas decorations at their church that they also attend. Sarah and I go way back from painting class as photography majors at UTA and also being coworkers at Chuy’s in college, so I was truly honored when she messaged me for wedding information. It’s been a wonderful experience getting to know these two and see all of their friends and family celebrate their love. One creative note is their romantic bride and groom photos took place all at night time, so I was able to stretch my abilities a bit and ended up having a lot of fun with it! This is one of the many reasons why I love off camera flash :)
Another beautiful aspect of their wedding day was their interpretation of the unity ceremony. Sarah and Nick work for Unity in Glass, which takes the unity candle or sand ceremony to the next level. The bride and groom each pour pieces of different colored glass into one holder, which is then turned into a beautiful work of art to cherish forever. I can’t wait to see what they create! We are also proud to put the hand blown glass ornament they made for wedding favors up on our tree this year.
All in all, they are two gentle, kind spirits, and their wedding day truly reflected that. Congratulations you two!
I’m currently booking 2019 weddings! We are always up for a road trip all over our great state of Texas!
