Lola and Armando’s Trinity River Audubon Center wedding was simple and personal. They are a very outdoorsy couple, and are big fans of outer space and science (aka 100% my people). We had a little different routine for their wedding day in that we started immediately with their first look and portraits, rather than “getting ready” and at a venue like theirs, we had plenty of gorgeous light and scenery for portraits. They also had a couple of nerdy touches – such as the Game of Thrones inspired signs on their head table and a galaxy photo backdrop for their guests to use.
Another lovely personal touch was their use of a wish tree from their home. Guests were invited to write notes of wishes for Lola and Armando as they start this new chapter of their lives together. I managed to take a photo of Lola’s wish – “To grow old with Armando.”
Their ceremony was short and sweet, with handwritten vows and pledging to journey through life as equals. We are 100% here for #MissiontoMartinez! Congratulations to the lovely couple – we so enjoyed being your photographers.
It was so great to return to photograph another Trinity River Audubon Center wedding. Whenever I visit I tend to forget we’re in Dallas, TX – the stunning architecture and scenery are unmatched in this area.
I still have some dates open this Fall! We would love to document your wedding story.
