River Legacy Park is, hands down, one of my top 10 favorite parks in Dallas/Fort Worth. I used to go exploring there at my time while studying photography at UTA. There are many trails and views of the Trinity River that make the perfect background for photos. Lindsey and Brett met up with me to go exploring around some of my favorite spots. I may sound redundant but I’m truly lucky to have the opportunity to serve couples like them.
If you’re wondering why to take engagement photos, here are several great reasons:
- We can get to know each other! If you’re more introverted (like I am) or feel awkward in front of the camera (like I do!) it’s a great way to break the ice and learn posing outside the inevitable scramble of your wedding day.
- You can do a “test run” with your makeup artist to ensure you love their style!
- You’ll have beautiful portraits to display in your home and at your wedding! Which, in my opinion, is a win-win.

Their wedding day was intimate with their closest family and friends joining them from all over the country. It’s always special to witness families joining together. I also have to say it’s not everyday I hear “Pale Blue Eyes” by the Velvet Underground at a wedding reception (and I go to a LOT of wedding receptions), Lindsey and Brett get bonus points for that.
